Tonight, after months of anticipation, the #BBNaija Season 7 Roommates debuted in a star-studded live audience presentation. After Big Brother Naija audiences across the continent with no contact and no in-person events, tonight is one for the books.
With the show's first 12 stars safely settled in Biggie's home, it's time for you to get to know them better.
Amaka
"I'm somewhere between a spoiled kid and a disciplined kid." The 23-year-old health worker, Anambra, Amaka opened with a sharp opening.
This self-confessed father girl has only one sibling, is the only girl in the family, and likes generous men. Her motto is "Don't be afraid to move forward", which has helped her through the ups and downs of life. Amaka admits that she signed up for Big Brother Naija not only to win, but to have fun, meet new people, and be spoiled for all her ex-boyfriends.
Amaka admits that she can look funky, mean, and "special" at times, but people always realize that once they get to know her better, she's soft as jelly. She was the first to admit that she was talkative, which her roommates might find annoying. "I'm a big parrot!" You don't have to pay me. I can talk nonstop for free," she said.
Although she admits to holding a grudge, Amaka believes she will make up for it with honesty. "You always know where you and I stand."
Beauty
Beauty lives up to her name. The 24-year-old lawyer from Taraba was crowned Miss Nigeria 2019, becoming the country's 43rd beauty to win the competition. She also won the title of Most Beautiful Girl Taraba from 2015 to 2017.
Beauty describes herself as a generous, open, dependable free spirit and believes that if she sets her mind to do something, she will make it happen. One of the lowest points of her life was when she had to rewrite the Nigerian Bar exam after failing the first time. As the last of four siblings, Beauty enjoys the love, constant guidance, and unwavering support this position provides her.
Why is it big brother Naga? "I love a good challenge and it's fun. Most importantly, I need the platform to continue growing my brand as Beauty Tukura. I know being indoors will change my life and I'm ready for that change and everything that comes with it," she said.
Bryann
Singer-songwriter Bryann counts Wande Coal, Vybz Cartel and Angelique Kidjo among his musical influences. The 24-year-old from Imo began releasing music in 2019 and eventually released a full project in 2021.
Though down-to-earth and sometimes conservative, Brian enjoys meeting new people, partying and watching movies. "I would describe myself as an extrovert; it's a mix of introversion and extroversion. I have random bursts of energy, and I have low-energy days, but I know how to guide people in both," he said. .
Bryann was happiest when he was creating, and he hoped that Big Brother Naija would give him a platform to interact with people, increase his social currency, and spread his music popularity.
However, his roommate may be pissed at his chronic tardiness and poor memory. "I'm super forgetful, so sometimes I forget to apply for meetings on time," he says with a laugh.
Christy O
Christy O is a beauty entrepreneur with a cosmetic business. The outspoken 24-year-old also models in her free time and believes in giving people a second chance.
Describing herself as a "fun, smart, hard-working extrovert," she admits you'll likely find her anywhere "interesting." When she's not hiking or having picnics with close friends, Christy O finds time to write poetry.
Your main weakness? "I'm a perfectionist, which means I'm usually not happy with the outcome, especially when a task has already been done by someone else." She's also argumentative and sarcastic, traits that annoy her roommates.
Still, Christy O felt like the right person for the experience. "I'm good at acting. Big Brother Naija is about entertainment, education and creativity. I think I can do well in that," she said.
Cyph
Art lover, movie junkie and music freak Cyph is from Imo State and studied electrical engineering at Madonna University. He loves food, travel, fashion and cruising, and admits he can be an enigma. "But I'm also silly, sociable and playful, which makes up for that," he said.
His motto is "You only live once," and Cyph makes sure to keep that in mind when disagreements with loved ones arise by resolving any differences immediately. The 27-year-old was the first to admit that he likes to be happy, but tends to cry when someone makes him very angry. While not in a relationship, Cyph is currently focusing on people outside of the family.
Why join Big Brother Naia? "I've always wanted to be seen or known outside the comfort of my home, my phone, and my friends. I have a lot to contribute to society, and I think BB Naija is the first step."

He has been running a clothing and accessories store for four years, dabbled in music, and believes Big Brother Naija will help him make his mark.

Ilebaye
Ilebaye, 21, holds a degree in criminology and security sciences and is an entrepreneur. She enjoys swimming, partying, bowling and shopping, and considers herself a controversial adventurer.
Ilebaye doesn't believe in love and thinks romantic relationships are all fake. "Maybe one day I'll find a reason to believe in love rather than the opportunity now," she said.
She can be outspoken and indifferent, traits that might annoy her roommates, but she plans to make up for that by being easygoing and having fun with them.
Ilebaye believes Big Brother Naija is the perfect platform to market themselves and gain exposure that will benefit their business. "Let's not forget all the other opportunities that comes with being BB Naija's roommate."

He described himself as "a flashy, amazing person" and prided himself on his talents. "I can do almost anything. I can sing, but I'm not at the level of Wande coal, sand. I dance the little things. I've never pursued it seriously because human beings have to survive first," he said. .
