Rocket attacks in Dnipro kill 3 people and injure 15, according to regional official

 

At least three people were killed and 15 others injured in a rocket attack in the southeastern Ukrainian city of Dnipro, according to Valentin Reznichenko, head of the Dnipropetrovsk Regional Military Administration.

"We were driving along the Dnieper River. The rocket hit the industrial establishment and the busy street next to it," Reznichenko said Friday night. The extent of the damage is still being assessed, he added.

According to Ivan Vasiuchkov, a representative of the transportation department of the Dnipro City Council, a driver of the city's main bus line was among the dead. Vasiuchkov said on Facebook that the bus driver had finished his work for the day and was driving to the bus parking lot.

Dnipro Deputy Mayor Mihailo Lisenko said on Friday that the attack could lead to a disruption to the city's water supply.
